How it works

There would be at least one tournament per week with tournaments varying in format (multi-round, single round, stableford, etc.) At the completion of each tournament, points will be given out to each participant based on where they finished. The points will be based on the FedEx points system used in the PGA. After a predetermined number of tournaments, the season will conclude and a champion will be crowned or a playoffs will commense which will determine the champion. All of the specifics still need to be hammered out, but this is just a basic outline.

Here are a few more details:

Tournament Basics

• All tournaments will be set up using the create-a-tournament tool in UTour golf
  
• One you receive the invite, you will have 48 hours (UTour default) to complete your round
  
• To play in the tournament, go to "view game invitations" on the right sidebar and click on it.
  
• Once there, any open rounds in a tournament will be available under "my invitations". Click to play.
  
• You only get one attempt at the tournament so make it count!
  
• Once a round/tournament is completed, the scores will be compiled and posted on this forum under the appropriate tournament.
  
• I will try to have all results and standings updated within 24 hours of completion
  
• All tournaments will open between 4pm-7pm EST on the start date given on this site and run for 48 hours

Regular Season/Playoffs
The basic breakdown of events will be as follows:

• Regular season (16-20 events)
  • 10-12 regular stroke play events
    
  • 2-3 Stableford events
    
  • 1-2 Mixed events
    
  • 1 Match Play invitational
    
  • 2 Major stroke play events
    
  
  
• Playoffs
  
  • Points will be reset at the beginning of the playoffs (TBD)
    
  • 3 events total (type TBD, most likely stroke play)
    
  • Approximately 70% of the 'season total' field will make the cut into the first playoff event
    
  • After the first event, 50% of the 'season total' field will make the cut into the second playoff event
    
  • After the second playoff event, 30% of the 'season total' field will make the cut into the final playoff event
    
  • For example if the season enrollment is 30 people- 21 will make round 1, 15 will make round 2, and 9 will make the finals.
