Welcome to WLoG!
Hello everyone and welcome to the World League of Golf! Post your ideas for tournaments or anything that comes to mind. The eventual goal will be to set up a league which will have weekly tournaments with some sort of playoff or season-long winner at the very end. Post away!

Re: Welcome to WLoG!
Any possibility of setting up team events down the road or would it be to big of a pain to figure the scores? I was thinking of something along the lines of a Ryder Cup tourney or something similar.

Re: Welcome to WLoG!
I'm already working on a way and points scheme to make this work. Definately had this in my plans when I started up this league. It would probably fall under the category of an off-season special event but it would still be a great time.
This was part of the reason I am asking everyone to fill in their location in their profiles (it is now required for registering in the forum). I am trying to figure out what the best format would be based on the distribution of our league players around the world. (US vs. World, North America vs. World, Europe vs. World, etc.)

Just goes to show!
Nice one Andrew, just played my first round(s). It may be the same courses, but it certainly has a nice competitive feel. You've done a grand job mate. Will be fun to see how the season pans out. Here's hoping SG doesn't fold, the format seems pretty slick and workable already.. A lesson in there for SG too methinks
Excellent work bud.

Re: Welcome to WLoG!
I was trying to find a way to justify calling a tournament the Tiger Open by making it difficult but in the end, I just wanted to make that trophy.

U-Tour game set up problems
For the last couple of months I have only been getting into a U-Tour Tournament or Multiplayer game say 1 in 5 attempts. The other 4 attempts out of 5, if I'm on Mozilla my system entirely crashes, or if i'm on IE U-Tour just boots me out of their server.
Although i have not yet tried "Game invitations" I suspect I will have similar problems attempting to join a game, which would inhibit me from being active on this league.
Curiously there are no equivalent problems using the practice hole.
I'm hoping its a common error and not just applicable to my own system.
Is anyone else having similar problems and does anyone have a solution?
Regards

First Place Ties
This is something that probably will never affect me , but do you plan on using the Bonus Score to settle first place ties? Maybe a one or, if necessary, multi-hole playoff is a better option?

Bonus score is something that is used at all levels of the placing system. It is used to break any tie that exists.
