World League Ranking System

The World League Ranking is a point-based system that ranks a player's performance over a pre-determined number of events. The thirty most recent events in the World League of Golf are taken into account by this system. It rewards players who play consistantly and do well in the events played. The system ranks people by totalling the points accumulated over the past 30 events and divding by the number of events played in that period. However, the minimum divisor for this system is 16, which means that you must have played in at least 16 of the past 30 events in order to attain the max possible rating.

The system also is weighted toward more recent performance:

• The most recent 10 events contribute to 50% of the rating
  
• The next 10 most recent events (11th-20th) contribute 30% to the rating
  
• The last 10 most recent events (21st-30th) contribute 20% to the rating

Points are given out as follows:

• 50 divided by finish rank for off-season/alternate tournaments (ran alongside invitationals/playoffs)
  
• 100 divided by finish rank for regular season tournaments
  
• 150 divided by finish rank for playoff tournaments
  
• 200 divided by finish rank for major tournaments

I have changed the minimum divisor from 20 events to 16 events. I have done this because I want these standings to reflect how well a player finishes and less about how much that person plays.
